There are a lot of interesting places tucked away in the corners of Oakville – but College Park has some of the most outstanding elements of the city in plain view, some of which are already household names across the GTA! In this area just south of River Oaks there are a variety of home styles. Everything from bungalows built in the 70’s to newer builds can be found in the area. Some neighbourhoods closer to Oakville Place, Oakville’s main mall, are an eclectic mix of rebuilt home designs. Some are sleek, stylized with modern sensibilities and are artistic sights to behold while others are more cozy with a more traditional design mindset. Sunningdale is one of the more notable French Immersion schools in the area and the French highschool, Gaetan-Gervais, is right across the prestigious White Oaks Secondary School. White Oaks is the largest highschool in Oakville that boasts numerous buildings across the street from each other as well as a great public library.
A few of the highlights can be traced along Trafalgar– the main street of the area. The aforementioned Oakville Place and the prestigious Sheridan College are a few short bus stops away from each other. Easy highway access in this area and it’s more centralized location in the city makes it easy to get anywhere in the city from College Park. For fans of golf, you’ll be happy to know that there are two golf courses in the area- the Oakville Golf Club, right off of Sixth Line is right around the corner from the mall while Glen Abbey Golf Club is right on the boundary of College Park.
For those looking at a neighbourhood that is filled with schooling opportunities of all sorts, as well as an area that boasts high quality recreational activities and the biggest mall in town, then College Park might just be the neighbourhood for you.
